Privacy Policy
The short version
Snip0 does not collect, transmit or store any personal information. There are no accounts, no analytics and no advertising.
Importing, trimming, effects, motion tracking, subject cutouts, depth, captions and export all run on your iPhone, and the app makes no network requests of any kind. The only way a video leaves your device is when you share or save it yourself from the export screen — and then it goes wherever you choose to send it.
Your work is yours
The videos you shoot, edit and export are yours. Snip0 claims no rights over them and asks for no licence to use them.
Permissions
Snip0 asks for each of these only when you use the feature it belongs to, and never uploads anything obtained through them.
- Photo library (read) — to import the videos and pictures you pick.
- Photo library (add) — to save what you export, when you ask for it.
- Microphone — to record a voice-over. The recording is saved into your project on the device.
Captions
Captions are transcribed on your device by the speech recognition built into iOS. The audio is not sent to us or to anyone else.
The first time you use a language, iOS may download a language model from Apple. That download is between your device and Apple and is covered by Apple’s privacy policy, not this one.
Children
Snip0 collects no information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, this page is updated and the date at the top is changed with it.
